Have you encountered problems on a footpath you were walking?
Did you do anything about it?

So few of us do, but there is a very simple way you can do something about that.
Interested?

Why do we want you to do more?
You may be aware that since 2010 the Lancashire County Council (LCC) has kept reducing resources on footpaths due to financial pressures.
As a result, where there used to be 1000 "footpath issues" unresolved in a year, that reached 10,000 before LCC stopped reporting the numbers.
If you would like to see how widespread the issues are, look at a map of all the issues in Lancashire reports on pathwath by clicking HERE

We have a lot of data collected through the Pathwatch App since 2015, but we don't know how many of these issues have been resolved.
We want to be able to determine some statistics that are "current, relevant and significant" in order to put together material useful for informing and encouraging LCC or Counillors or the Press to gerenate pressure for better footpath resources in LCC.

How can you help?

UNFORTUNATELY Pathwatch IS NO LONGER IN USE. Please see menu on reporting faults HERE.
Simply add the Pathwatch app to your smartphone if it's not already there, and start making regular use of it.
Even issuing reports repeatedly (over time) about the same issue, gives us a record of it remaining "current" and some indication of path usage.
Do include a photo when possible.
Don't know how to use the app? Click HERE for instructions.

Don't have a Smartphone?
Us the computer to report an issue. Click HERE to access that function.
Please try and include a photo of the issue, it helps greatly.

Want to do More?
With so many issues, we would like to focus on the most critical.
So we would like people to go and check specific issues, namely those that report "Unusable" paths.
You can find those near you either by looking at the map, or sorting the associated table under Post Code.
You can supply an update report through a form on the site or use Pathwatch to report.
Click HERE for the Unusable path map/table.
